Sometimes when you meet a friend in person, you want to exchange social media information quickly and efficiently. Messenger Codes helps you to quickly connect with a friend over the app, using a unique marker for each user. Just pull out your Messenger camera and press and hold over a friend's Messenger Code to connect instantly.

You can show your Messenger code for your friends to scan by tapping on your profile photo and then tapping on the largely sized icon at the top surrounded by blue lines and circles. Two options will be presented when you do that: “My Code” and “Scan Code.” The “My Code” feature is selected by default for your friends to scan. And the “Scan Code” feature lets you scan the Messenger Codes of your friends.
